Central Suffolk and North Ipswich Liberal Democrats have selected their Prospective Parliamentary Candidate to fight the next General Election. Constituency chairman Martin Redbond has welcomed Andrew Aalders-Dunthorne who has significant experience in campaigning and fighting elections.

Andrew stood in the three previous General Elections in Norwich South. During this time he took the Liberal Democrats from third place to second place and was only 3,653 votes away from toppling Labour heavyweight Charles Clarke in 2005.

Andrew, a senior teacher in a large Primary School in Norwich and former Commissioned Officer in the Territorial Army, was also a Norwich City Councillor for 12 years. He lives with his family in the Central Suffolk and North Ipswich Constituency in Fressingfield

Andrew said after his selection: "I intend to make sure that Michael Lord faces a real challenge at the next election. To win this seat we will have to defeat the Tories in rural Mid Suffolk and Suffolk Coastal and Labour in urban North West Ipswich. I am looking forward to the challenge and the hard work that lies ahead."
